Tour Itinerary:
Start your day with morning pickup from your hotel and a scenic 1.5-hour drive in a climate-controlled minivan to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall. Upon your arrival, have some time to explore the expertly restored Mutianyu section, which features 23 original-style watchtowers. The Mutianyu section is less visited than other parts of the Great Wall, allowing you some space from the crowds. You can either ride the chair lift up to the Great Wall and toboggan down from tower six, or take the cable car back down from tower 14, depending on the option that you select when booking. Next up, drive to the Ming Tombs and have lunch at a nearby restaurant before visiting the ancient burial site. A collection of mausoleums built for the emperors of the Ming dynasty (1368–1644), the Ming Tombs consist of a cluster of sites near Beijing, and the first Ming emperor’s tomb, which is situated near Nanjing. Your full-day tour concludes after the Ming Tombs with drop-off at your hotel in Beijing.
